What's another $480 billion among friends when they're not even spending their own money? The Turtle managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, yet again.

Senate Votes to Delay Borrowing
The party-line Democratic vote of 50-48 in support of the bill to raise the government’s debt ceiling by nearly a half-trillion dollars brought instant relief in Washington and far beyond. However, it provides only a reprieve. Assuming the House goes along with the Senate’s Thursday night vote, which it will, Republican and Democratic lawmakers will still have to tackle their deep differences on the issue once more before yearend.

Well, it appears Democrats have screwed themselves on their $3.5-6 trillion spending boondoggle. They're not going to get it, at least at those levels.

Because they're swinging for the fences and won't accept anything less, they're going to fail. They bet too much political capital on the anti-Trump sentiment, which really didn't exist since they had to cheat the elections to get Biden into office in the first place.

The Democrats have played a mirage game.

Make Trump "appear" unpopular - fail for the most part.
Sell wasteful spending as "infrastructure" - also a fail.
Totalitarian COVID mandates - an economic fail of massive proportions literally never seen in US history before.

Democrats are screwed next year and with Biden as the presumed nominee, screwed in 2024 as well.
